Luis Salvador

Luis Salvador is a major player in east coast drug trafficking. He's known as the "King of I-75", a major drug corridor that starts in Naples, Florida and ends at the Canadian border north of Michigan. I-75, not coincidentally, passes through Detroit where Jason Rusch lives. Luis is ruthless. He is also powerful, both physically and in terms of the resources he manages.

A few years ago, Luis had Travis Clevenger and his partner Vince on his payrolls. Travis turned state's evidence on him and cost him approximately five million dollars. Since that time, Luis has felt an unquenchable desire to kill Travis personally and has been waiting for the opportunity.

Luis's man in Detroit, Stevie Golek, was said to have dissappeared at the hands of the new Firestorm. When we first meet Luis, he has travelled to Detroit to investigate and perhaps deal with the interfering new hero. This is not a timid person.

Luis first tracks down Jason, who was the last individual seen with Stevie. He tortures both Jason and his father, Alvin for information about Stevie's dissappearance. Jason merges with Luis, but Luis takes control of Firestorm through sheer willpower forming a new, terrifying Firestorm. The first item of business on his mind is vengeance against Clevenger. He flies to Georgia when he confronts Clevenger, but Clevenger manages to defeat Luis with a little help from Jason.

Jason re-merges with a defeated Luis and draws enough life force from him to undo the damage done to his body during the torture sesson. This experience frightens Luis, leaving him a nerve-wracked mess when we last see him.
