Stevie Golek

Stevie is the local head of a criminal organization headquartered in the Stopwatch Bar in Detroit. His primary activity is drug production and trafficking, but he also engages in other forms of illegal activies including loan sharking and murder. With many employees, his organization is substantial.

Stevie is street-smart and manipulative. His reputation is somewhat tempered by his personable nature and down-to-earth interests.

When Jason lost his restaurant job, he turned to Stevie for a well-paying job as a courier. Jason, needing the money, was not convinced that Stevie was a criminal, but also did not want to know the truth behind Stevie's reputation. When Jason failed to make his first delivery, Stevie intended to teach him a lesson. Jason, in the meantime, decided to discover the truth behind Stevie's business and followed Stevie to a drug lab.

Stevie caught Jason spying on his operation and stabbed him in the stomach. Jason, panicking, unintentionally triggered the Firestorm transformation and merged with Stevie, who immediately recognized the potential Jason might have for his organization. Stevie saw into Jason's mind and began manipulating Jason based on his knowledge of Jason's past.

Several minutes into the merger, however, Stevie's virtual body began to dissolve into light. Jason was powerless to stop the process. When the two finally separated, Stevie died as his physical body dissolved.

We may never see Stevie himself again, but he was making a lot of money for someone who is certain to be upset over the loss of income. Regardless, Stevie can be remembered as the man responsible for putting Jason in the wrong place at the right time, and as Jason's first villain.
