Casey Krinski

Casey is an unbalanced woman in her twenties. She has strong metahuman abilities. Specifically, she has the ability to absorb characteristics of matter she touches and reform parts of her body using those materials.

With news of multiple Firestorm sightings around the Detroit area, Casey begins to obsess over the new hero. Presumably, she knows of his abilities and believes she can absorb his mastery over the elements. The obsession, however, is also personal. She covers her room with his pictures and begins thinking of him as her boyfriend. She begins plotting to get his attention. When Casey's roommate enters here room and makes fun of her, Casey kills her.

Knowing that Firestorm takes nearly nightly flights, Casey sets a trap for him. Possibly using the road, she causes a fatal two-vehicle crash. The resulting fire draws Jason's attention. As Jason investigates the crash, Casey emerges from the surrounding woods and grabs him. Jason, feeling his powers being drained, instinctively launches into the air. As the two struggle for control, Casey suddenly changes to stone. She plummets to the ground and disappears in a cloud of dust.

Later, news reaches Jason that a giant stone woman has been seen near Dearborn. He goes to confront her, hoping to stop and help her. Casey has become large, powerful, and more than a little scary looking. She easily knocks the new hero around. Suddenly, Casey implodes and returns to human form. Wanting to save her life, Jason calls the Justice League. Flash carries her to San Francisco, where she is being detained and treated at S.T.A.R. labs. A doctor there notes that Casey's body has undergone a sudden change.

Jason may have caused her change and may not have. Regardless, he feels responsible but will not reveal his role in her change to others. Expect a long association with his first meta powered villain.
